Ray Alder (born August 20, 1967 in San Antonio , Texas ) is an American metal singer, the v. a. known as a member of Fates Warning and Redemption .

biography

When founding member John Arch Fates Warning left in November 1986, Ray Alder replaced him. Alder was first heard on the 1988 album No Exit . In 1999 he founded a. a. with bandmate Joey Vera and with Bernie Versailles from Agent Steel the progressive metal band Engine, who released two albums. In 2005 he also became a singer with Bernie Versailles' other band Redemption, on whose debut album Alder was already a guest in 2003. After the sixth studio album, he left the band. He released his first solo album in 2019.
