Raymond Bréchet

Raymond Bréchet (* 1923 in the canton of Jura ; † July 2, 2007 in Carouge , canton of Geneva ) was a Swiss Jesuit priest and journalist .

Life

Raymond Bréchet was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1949 . In 1952 he entered the Jesuit order. In 1959 he was one of the founders of the Swiss Jesuit magazine Choisir .

From 1962 to 1965 he was a journalistic reporter at the Second Vatican Council .

Bréchet played a key role in the development of ecumenism in western Switzerland. Among other things, he was an ecumenical pastor for the disabled for the canton of Geneva and the church's official exorcist in the canton.
