Raynold Gideon

Raynold Gideon (* 20th century ) is an American screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Gideon first appeared as an actor in the late 1960s. As such, as a producer and screenwriter, he was involved in the short film Frog Story in 1972 , for which he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Short Film the following year . The 1979 screenplay for the movie Dollar Rush marked the first collaboration with Bruce A. Evans , which continued into the 2000s. The 1986 film Stand by Me brought the two of them a 1987 Oscar nomination in the Best Adapted Screenplay category , as well as two nominations at the 1987 Independent Spirit Awards . The film was also their first collaboration as a film producer. Together they were also involved in the development of the script for Die Piratenbraut (1995). Especially in the 1970s, Gideon continued to appear as an actor in various television productions.
