Bruce A. Evans

Bruce A. Evans (born September 19, 1946 in Long Beach , California ) is an American screenwriter, film producer and director.

Life

Evans first appeared with his involvement in the 1979 screenplay of Dollar Rush . This film marked the first collaboration with Raynold Gideon , with whom he wrote all subsequent scripts to date. The 1986 released film Stand by Me - The secret of a summer brought the two in 1987 nominated for the Oscar in the category Adapted Best Screenplay one, moreover, they were at the Independent Spirit Awards 1987 nominated in two categories. The film was also her debut as a film producer.

In 1992 Evans made his directorial debut with Kuffs - A guy to shoot , around 15 years later he made his second film as a director with Mr. Brooks - The Murderer in You . The latter was his first foray into the field of thriller.
