Re! Nvented is a German rock band from Bad Nauheim . The band has not been active since 2004, but has not officially split up.

Band history

The band was formed in 1998. In 1999 she won the "Saarland Talent Search" competition, and achieved first place in the Hessian and third place in the German Rock Prize. In 2000, Re! Nvented won Act2000, a young talent competition by BMG , AOK and VIVA , which won the band a record deal with BMG. The single " Imaginary Flowers " was voted into the top ten of the "MTV Unsigned Contest " in May 2000. In the same year played Re! Nvented as opening act of Stone the Crows and Reamonn . The band celebrated their greatest success in 2002 with the single " These are the days ", which is not a cover version of the O-Town title of the same name . The new recording was immediately used for a Toyota television advertisement. The title " Dead & Lame " of the debut album was part of the soundtrack for the movie " Animal - Das Tier im Manne " with Rob Schneider . Steve Lyon , who has already worked for The Cure , Paradise Lost and Reamonn, was won over as producer for the debut . In the same year, Re! Nvented appeared alongside [LAW] as the opening act for H-Blockx . At almost 100 concerts they were able to bring their music closer to the audience live. The drummer Derrick Find had to leave the band for health reasons. He was replaced by Rahoul Anders, who studied drums at the Frankfurt Conservatory . In 2003 Marcel Römer , who later became the drummer of the band Juli, joined Re! Nvented and Tobi Etzel was replaced by PogoTS on bass. Despite the band's initial success, the Goldrush record company withdrew. Since 2004 the former band members have dedicated themselves to their own projects.
