Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Jackson (born May 29, 1950 in Gary , Indiana ) was the first child of the Jackson family, who are extremely successful and famous in the music business. Her parents are Joseph and Katherine Jackson .

Career

Rebbie began her solo career in 1984 with the song Centipede , which was written and produced by her brother Michael Jackson and appeared on an album of the same name, which also includes a cover version of the song I Feel for You written by Prince . In 1986 she released her second album Reaction, a third called RU Tuff Enuff followed in 1988.

She also worked on the 1995 soundtrack for Free Willy 2 - Freedom in Danger , and in 1998 she released her last studio album, Yours Faithfully .

On November 30, 1968, at the age of 18, she married her childhood sweetheart Nathaniel Brown. She was married to him until his death on January 6, 2013. The two have three children: daughters Stacee (born 1971) and Yashi (1977) and son Austin (1985), also called Auggie. All three children worked as background singers on their last album Yours Faithfully , son Austin released his first album on December 24, 2012.
