Rebecca Spirig is a Swiss nurse . She was Director of Nursing and MTTB at the University Hospital Zurich and Professor at the Institute for Nursing Science at the University of Basel .

Life

Spirig received her diploma as a nurse in general nursing (AKP) in 1978 at the nursing school of the Winterthur Cantonal Hospital . In 1986 she obtained her diploma as a nursing teacher at the nursing school in Zurich and Aarau, where she received her diploma as a nursing expert in 1993.

She received a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the School of Nursing at the University of Washington in Seattle (Washington), where she subsequently also earned her PhD .

From 1998 to 2000 she was a professor at the Aargau University of Applied Sciences , Health and Social Work in Aarau. From 2001 she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Nursing Science at the University of Basel, where she was appointed associate professor in 2005. From 2005 to 2010 she headed the Center for Clinical Nursing Science at the University Hospital Basel , from 2010 to 2013 the Center for Clinical Nursing Science at the University Hospital Zurich . Since 2013 the director of care MTTB at the University Hospital Zurich.
