List of grape varieties |
Reberger is a red wine variety with medium resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew . The intersection of this new breed was made in 1986 at the Institute for Grapevine Breeding Geilweilerhof between varieties Re gent and Lem berger . Plant variety protection was granted in 2004.
Due to its resistance to powdery mildew, the plant protection can be reduced by 60 to 80% compared to traditional grape varieties. Thanks to its firm berry skins, infestation by gray mold rot occurs very rarely.
The color-intensive wines are described as strong and lasting with well-integrated tannins and fine fruit aromas, and the type is often reminiscent of Lemberger.
