Rebutia albopectinata is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae).

description

Rebutia albopectinata grows individually with spherical, gray-green bodies. The bodies reach a diameter of 1.5 centimeters and have beet roots. The up to 16 vertical ribs are clearly divided into cusps. The oval areoles on it are white or light brown. There are up to two white central spines up to 1 millimeter long , which can also be missing. One of the up to 13 white radial spines is directed downwards. The rest are in pairs, lie against the body surface and cover it. The radial spines are up to 3 millimeters long.

The red flowers have a pink to white throat. They reach a diameter of 4.5 centimeters and are up to 5 centimeters long. The pericarpel and the flower tube are covered with white hair and bristles. The spherical fruits are also covered with white hair and bristles and reach a diameter of up to 5 millimeters.

Distribution, systematics and endangerment

Rebutia albopectinata is widespread in Bolivia in the Chuquisaca department in the area around Culpina , where they grow in the puna vegetation.

The first description was published in 1972 by Walter Rausch (* 1928).

In the Red List of Threatened Species of IUCN is the species as " Endangered (EN) ," d. H. listed as endangered.
