Rebutia aureiflora is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae).

description

Rebutia aureiflora grows richly sprouting with spherical, green and reddish tinged bodies. The bodies reach a diameter of up to 6 centimeters and have a long, fleshy beet root. The scarcely recognizable ribs are arranged in a spiral and almost completely dissolved into distinct humps. The areoles on it are white. There are 1 to 4 grayish white central spines that are 10 to 20 millimeters long. The 10 to 16 radial spines are whitish to brownish. They are bristle-like and up to 7 millimeters long.

The flowers are yellowish orange with a whitish throat or golden yellow or red and reach a diameter of up to 4 centimeters.

Distribution and systematics

Rebutia aureiflora is widespread in Bolivia in the Potosí and Tarija departments and in Argentina in the Salta province . The first description was published in 1932 by Curt Backeberg . Synonyms are u. a. Lobivia aureiflora (Backeb.) HPKelsey & Dayton , Mediolobivia aureiflora (Backeb.) Backeb. and Rebutia einstenii subsp. aureiflora (Boed.) Hjertson .
