Rebutia fabrisii is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet honors the Argentine botanist Humberto Antonio Fabris (1924–1976).

description

Rebutia fabrisii grows in groups with spherical bodies. The bodies reach a diameter of up to 2 centimeters and have fiber roots. The ribs are arranged in a spiral and divided into cusps. The almost circular areoles on it are white to yellow. The approximately 30 white to yellow thorns can hardly be distinguished between central and radial spines. They are 4 to 8 millimeters long.

The red or yellow flowers are up to 3 centimeters long and reach the same diameter.

Distribution, systematics and endangerment

Rebutia fabrisii is widespread in the north of Argentina in the Jujuy province at altitudes of 2500 to 2800 meters.

The first description was published in 1977 by Walter Rausch (* 1928).

In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is listed as " Least Concern (LC) ". H. listed as not endangered.
