Rebutia fischeriana is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet honors the Czech cactus collector Slávek Fischer.

description

Rebutia fischeriana grows solitary or sprouting with short columnar, brownish green bodies. The bodies reach heights of up to 3 centimeters with diameters of up to 1.5 centimeters and have a fleshy beet root. The 10 (rarely 9-11) ribs are wide and flat and divided into 3 millimeter cusps. A central spine is missing. The 11 to 13 radial spines are dirty whitish and have a pink base. They are radiating, lie like a comb on the body and are up to 2 millimeters long.

The orange-red, wide funnel-shaped flowers are about 2.5 centimeters long and reach a diameter of up to 3 centimeters. The spherical fruits have a diameter of up to 10 millimeters.

Distribution and systematics

Rebutia fischeriana is distributed in Argentina in the Jujuy province at altitudes of about 4000 meters. The first description was published in 2002 by Rudolf Slaba (* 1950). Rebutia fischeriana is closely related to Rebutia gonjianii .
