Rebutia fulviseta is a species of plant in the genus Rebutia from the cactus family(Cactaceae).
description
Rebutia fulviseta grows individually or in groups with spherical to short cylindrical, dark green bodies. The bodies reach heights of 1.5 centimeters with a diameter of 1 centimeter and have fiber roots. The up to 16 ribs are arranged in a spiral and clearly divided into cusps. The circular to oval areoles on it are brown. The thorns are yellowish to reddish brown, slightly darker at the tips and slightly thickened at the base. The 1 to 3 central spines are protruding and 6 to 10 millimeters long. The 10 to 12 radial spines are spread out.
The dark red flowers are up to 2.5 centimeters long and reach the same diameter. The spherical fruits are dark red and have a diameter of up to 5 millimeters.
Distribution and systematics
Rebutia fulviseta is common in Bolivia in the Tarija department and in Argentina in the Salta province at altitudes of 2000 to 2300 meters. The first description was published in 1970 by Walter Rausch (* 1928).
