Rechbergreuthen is a village in the municipality of Winterbach in the district of Günzburg in Bavaria . The town with around 200 inhabitants is located in the Augsburg-Westliche Wälder nature park and has only one street.

history

Rechbergreuthen was first mentioned in 1346 in a document from the Fultenbach monastery . At that time the place was called Ruetin . The parish is dedicated to St. Dedicated to Nicholas . In 1939 the place had a total of 214 inhabitants. In 2007 there are around 200 residents. In 1972 Rechbergreuthen was incorporated into the municipality of Winterbach through a voluntary merger with Waldkirch and Winterbach.

The place took 1st place in the competition Our village should become more beautiful in 1992. Rechbergreuthen also took part in the 1994 district selection with great success.

There has been a water supply in Rechbergreuthen since 1908. Since then, a historical pump has been conveying spring water from the Glött Valley to the town.

Clubs and events

  • The volunteer fire brigade has been in existence since 1876 and has the motto: "Honor God, fight your neighbor". The association has around 30 active members. Due to the geographical location of Rechbergreuthen (surrounded by forests), the fire brigade often had to provide their services in forest fires and barn fires.
  • In Rechbergreuthen the custom of the so-called gun shooting is maintained, which is generally very popular in the Swabian region.
