Reckless Kelly is an American country band from Texas .
history
Members
The band formed in Oregon before moving to Austin in January 1997 . The front men were the brothers Willy and Cody Braun, who had previously played with their father in the band Muzzie Braun & the Boys . The group initially joined guitarist Casey Pollock, bassist Chris Schelske and drummer Jay Nazz. While Schelske and Pollock left the band over time, Nazz is still the band's drummer. David Abeyta was added to the release of the second studio album, bassist Jimmy McFeeley has already left.
Career
Reckless Kelly released their debut album in July 1998, followed by the live album Acoustic: Live at Stubb's , and The Day in 2000 . In 2003 the group signed a contract with Sugar Hill Records , which they were able to establish sustainably in the music scene. With Under the Table and Above the Sun they reached the country charts for the first time and received critical acclaim. They succeeded in doing so with Wicked Twisted Road , before they were signed by Yep Roc Records for their 2008 work Bulletproof . With the album they reached the Billboard 200 for the first time and also reached number 14 on the country charts. They were able to confirm these successes with Somewhere in Time (2010) and Good Luck & True Love (2011), most recently they even made it to number 78 on the Billboard 200.
