Andrew George "Red" Spooner (born August 24, 1910 in Port Arthur , Ontario ; † May 7, 1984 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player who, during his active career between 1926 and 1933, played a game for the Pittsburgh Pirates in national hockey League has denied.

Career

Spooner spent most of his career at clubs around his native Port Arthur in the Canadian province of Ontario . Due to an injury to her regular goalkeeper Joe Miller , Spooner was queried on January 18, 1930 by the Pittsburgh Pirates of the National Hockey League . His club at the time, the Fort William Forts, then loaned him to the Pirates for a game in which Spooner guarded the gate for the entire season. The game against the New York Rangers was lost 5-6. He then returned to Port Arthur, where he ended his active career in 1933.

He died on May 7, 1984 at the age of 73.
