description

The asymmetrically constructed villa was built in 1896. As an architect, Henry E. Clifford was responsible for the planning. Like numerous villas from this period, it shows stylistic features of the Arts and Crafts movement . The architecture seems to be influenced by the buildings of Edwin Lutyen and Charles Voysey . The one-story building has a developed attic with flat roof dormers that protrude from the hipped roof covered with red clay tiles . On the left side of the front is a two-story cloister . At the rear, a one-story utility wing goes off to the right. The Redholmes facades are plastered with rough plaster. The building edges are set off with corner stones made of sandstone . The enclosure wall is made of quarry stone. The driveway on the right edge of the property on Kilkerran Road is closed with a double-leaf wooden gate. The round pillars end with arched end stones.
