Reed Donald Timmer (born August 22, 1995 ) is an American basketball player .

career

Timmer, who comes from the city of New Berlin (US state Wisconsin ), played in his hometown at Eisenhower High School and from 2014 onwards in the state of Iowa at Drake University (first NCAA-Division). He was a regular for the “Bulldogs” team for four years and played 127 games by the end of the 2017/18 season. He was among the "top five" 125 times. Timmer recorded 15.7 points per game during his university time and also achieved an average of 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per match. He hit a total of 214 of his 551 three-point throws between 2014 and 2018, which corresponds to a success rate of 38.8 percent. In February 2018, Timmer, who studied pharmacy , became the best scorer in the history of Drake University, overtaking Joshua Young on the college team's list of the best . Timmer scored exactly 2000 points for Drake between 2014 and 2018.

In July 2018 he signed  his first contract as a professional basketball player with the German second division team Tigers Tübingen . With 18.5 points per match, Timmer was the best thrower in his team in his first year as a professional. During the summer break of 2019, he was signed by the Spanish second division club Delteco Gipuzkoa Basket .
