The Reformed Church Ennenda is a church building in the village of Ennenda , Switzerland .

history

The current church was built between 1774 and 1775 according to plans by Johann Jakob Messmer .

description

The church has a front tower with a pointed spire. It is laid out as a hall church with a retracted polygonal choir and follows a medieval-Catholic building scheme.

The interior has Rococo - stucco work of Andrew and Peter Anton Moosbrugger on. The baptismal font occupies the center of the choir, while the wooden pulpit designed by Messmer can be entered through a passage on the side of the choir arch . The windows in the ship and the door lunettes are in the classical style. In the choir, on the other hand, there are late Nazarene glass paintings from 1885 by the Zurich glass painter Karl Wehrli . The middle window shows Christ as a child friend . It is flanked on the right by a glass painting of Paul , on the left by a glass painting of John the Evangelist .

organ

The organ made by Mathis Orgelbau is located on the rear gallery . The organ prospectus with free-standing pedal towers and Rückpositiv is based on baroque design schemes.
