The Reformed Church of Oberuzwil is a baroque church building by Hans Ulrich Grubenmann in Oberuzwil .

Building history

The church was built from 1765 to 1766 by the master builder Hans Ulrich Grubenmann. For the floor plan, he used the tried and tested concept of the hall church with a three-sided closure, which he had already applied to the Oberrieden church . The ship is 23 meters long and 12.2 meters wide. The roof construction was carried out by the bridge builder Grubenmann using a bridge construction method with a suspension frame . The tower was raised in 1901 and therefore no longer has the well-proportioned, elegant features that characterize Grubenmann's church towers.

Furnishing

The Rococo - stucco are the Vorarlberg Plasterer Peter Anton Moosbrugger attributed, who is also the stucco decoration of the 1764-1767 built church Wädenswil explained, which is considered the pit's masterpiece. The font with simple sandstone rocailles and the initials Grubenmann could be a foundation of the builder.
