description

Exterior

The oldest surviving structural element is the tower from 1506. The top floor has arched windows and a clock face on the city side. With his tent-shaped pointed tower helmet, built in 1723, he shapes the silhouette of Regensberg, which is visible from afar, together with the even higher keep of the upper castle.

There are three bells hanging in the tower:

  • Big bell, 1491, tone B
  • Middle bell, 1951 ( H. Rüetschi ), tone d
  • Small bell, 1951 (H. Rüetschi), tone f

inner space

The interior is laid out as a simple classicist hall church . The ceiling has subtle stucco decoration from the construction period. As part of the interior renovation in 1953, a new organ from Metzler Orgelbau and a new, simple ambo were purchased on the gallery .

Two epitaphs for Regensberg bailiffs from the 18th century have been preserved. The font is a copy of the late Gothic original. The central colored glass window was created in 1911 by Louis Hérion in the neo-renaissance style. It shows the expulsion of the traders from the temple ( Mt 21,12-16  LUT ) as well as Christian symbols.
