Louis Herion
Louis Hérion , also Louis Herion , actually Karl Ludwig Herion (born November 11, 1858 in Schönau (Odenwald) , † November 25, 1934 in Zurich ) was a Baden - Swiss glass painter .
life and work
Herion came from the village of Schönau near Heidelberg and after completing his apprenticeship opened his own glass painter's studio in Albisrieden near Zurich, which he ran under the pseudonym "Louis Hérion". Stylistically, he was influenced by the 19th century aesthetics of historicism and the Nazarene style . In addition to his work as a glass painter and coat of arms painter, he also worked as a restorer of glass paintings.
