Reischen Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Reischen in Shams is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .
History and equipment
Around 843 the Reichsgutsurbar performed an ecclesia in Solonio , north of Reischen. Reischen accepted the Reformation in the course of 1530-1535. The current church dates from 1709, while the people of Reischen were church members of St. Martin in Zillis until then .
Church and tower present themselves as a stocky, compact building. The tower with a one-story bell house has a pointed helmet with a flattened base , the nave is covered by a hipped roof.
The baroque choir is covered by a ribless cell vault . A pulpit without a sound cover dominates the church interior on the left . In the center is the baptismal font , which stands in front of the choir and is carved in the form of a double funnel , on which the Lord's Supper is also celebrated.
Church organization
The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Reischen, which forms a parish with Zillis and is in pastoral community with the villages of Schamserberg , within the Colloquium II Schams-Avers-Rheinwald-Moesa .
