The Reformed Church in Sufers in Rheinwald is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .

History and equipment

The church was built in 841 on the basis of a foundation by Lothar I and was under the patronage of Jesus himself in his invocation as Savior ( Latin : Salvator). The present church is a geosteter new building from the early days of Grison turmoil 1618-25 with a tower whose compared to the nave striking width and its tapering onion dome characterize the village. In the center of the interior is a stone baptismal font behind the two-step staircase to the choir , which according to the Reformed denomination is also used as a sacrament table.

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Sufers, which is in pastoral community with the other communities in the Rheinwald, within the Colloquium II Schams-Avers-Rheinwald-Moesa .
