Trimmis Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Trimmis in Chur Rhine Valley is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . In Trimmis, which has known Reformed residents since 1614, which has been strictly concerned with denominational parity since the Graubünden turmoil , the Reformed and Catholic Churches are strikingly similar in terms of shape, size and onion dome of the church tower .
History and equipment
The sources for the original church under the patronage of St. Leonhard are not certain, but suggests that the church was built in the 13th century. This fell victim to a large village fire in 1764. The church was completely rebuilt. It is built directly under a rock wall. This did not result in any expansion options, so that a gallery had to be built inside , which fills about a third of the nave . This also houses the large organ , which did not find a place in the three-sided closed choir . In front of the four-step staircase to the choir in the middle of the church there is a baptismal font on which, according to Reformed custom, the Lord's Supper is celebrated.
Church organization
The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Trimmis- Says as an independent parish, which has grown strongly in recent decades due to immigration, within the Colloquium V Bündner Herrschaft-Fünf Dörfer .
Current (as of 2016) pastors are Josias Bruger and Evelyn Cremer.
