Valchava Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Valchava in Grisons Val Müstair is a Protestant - Reformed church under cantonal conservation .
History and equipment
The church is first documented in 1460 under the patronage of Martin von Tours . Over the centuries, the learned late Gothic building numerous restorations, the last time inside the church in 1990. The nave is buckled with a peculiar because trapezoidal shaped choir and a chamber organ from the second half of the 18th century. The tower with onion dome and two-storey bell house connects to the facade in the south.
Church organization
For decades, Valchava formed a parish with Santa Maria VM and the diaspora in Müstair . The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden has been running a merged Val Müstair parish within the Colloquium VIII Engiadina Bassa - Val Müstair since 2013 .
