The Reformed Church in Valzeina in Vorderprättigau is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . It shapes the village image through the tower with its distinctive pointed helmet .

Furnishing

The building is a typical Reformed preaching church . In the choir , the pulpit with the sound cover and the baptismal font in front of it , which also serves as the communion table, form a compositional unit. The hall church offers space for 250 people. The small organ is pneumatically operated without a pedal .

history

Murder case

In 1697 the incumbent pastor Peter Walser was murdered on the way down to Grüsch in the ravine , which from then on bore the name Mördertobel (in the Walser German dialect Mördertobäli ).

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Valzeina as a small independent parish , which has been looked after by retired pastors on a part-time basis since 2006, within the IX Prättigau colloquium .
