The Reformed Church in Versam in the canton of Grisons is an Evangelical - Reformed church on the edge of the terrace Ruinaulta .

History and equipment

Until after the end of the Bündner turmoil in the middle of the 17th century, Versam and a chapel belonged to Valendas , where the parish church of the general parish and the common cemetery were also located. In 1634 the building of the first church in Versam is first documented. Today's church building was ready for occupancy in 1710, after the pulpit had also been installed in the same year . The organ followed in 1786 and is still in use today. The church in Versam is a listed building and is under the protection of the canton.

Church organization

Today the Versamer parish is in pastoral community with Valendas and the other villages of the Safien valley and belongs to the Colloquium I Ob dem Wald within the Evangelical Reformed regional church of Graubünden . The parish apartment - a curiosity - changes between Valendas and Versam each time a pastor takes office (currently, as of 2014, the pastor lives in Valendas).
