The Refuge de Presset is a refuge of the Chambéry section of the Club Alpin Français , which is located in France in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region .

history

The first hut was built in 1966 and expanded in 1972. A new building was constructed from 2012 to 2013 and inaugurated in summer 2013.

Features and information

The hut is mainly open in the summer months. It consists of five dormitories with six beds. From the mountain hut you can see the La Plagne ski area as well as the Monte Rosset and the Pierra Menta in the distance . A supply of wood is permanently retained. This makes it possible to use the wood stove for heating when the hut is not being attended to.

Access

To get to the refuge you have to start an ascent from the Conchette mountain pasture.
