The Refuge du Parmelan is a refuge of the Annecy section of the Club Alpin Français in France in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in the Bornes Alps .
history
The refuge was built on land purchased by Camille Dunant , then President of the Annecy Section. It was inaugurated in September 1883. Renovation of the building is planned for 2022.
Access
From the L'Anglettaz car park. It is also possible to start from Villaz or La Blonnière .
In winter, access to the chalet side of L'Anglettaz (or possibly via the Chappeys chalets) is preferred in order to avoid the very dangerous avalanches of the Grand Montoir. In addition, the Anglette and Chappuis forest trails are closed to traffic at this time of the year (closed from the first snow to the thaw in April or May, depending on the conditions).
