The metropolitan region of Umuarama , Portuguese Região Metropolitana de Umuarama , is a metropolitan region in the Brazilian state of Paraná . It was established by Supplementary Law No. 149 on August 24, 2012 and is located in Umuarama City . It consists of 24 cities ( Municípios ).
Demographics and Expansion
With an area of around 11,926 km² (2016) it had a population of 315,074 inhabitants (July 2017 estimate), which corresponds to a population density of 26 inhabitants per km².
