Região Sul in Brazil

The Região Sul ( Portuguese for Southern Region ) is one of five major statistical regions in Brazil . It includes the three states of Paraná , Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul . The Região Sul makes up with 576,779 km² only 6.77% of the area of ​​Brazil; it is thus the smallest of the five regions. The population was estimated at 29,016,114 in 2014.
