Reginald Goss-Custard

Edward Reginald Herbert Goss-Custard (born March 29, 1877 in St Leonards-on-Sea , † June 13, 1956 ) was an English organist and composer .

The brother of the organist Harry Goss-Custard acquired his musical training largely self-taught. He has held several organist positions in London and has given concerts at the Bishopsgate Institute . Among other things, he composed works such as Chelsea Fayre , an Elégie , an Idyll , a March in F , a Fantasia in F and a Serenade in A for the organ and wrote organ arrangements including Tchaikovsky's " The Nutcracker " and the overtures to Beethoven's " Egmont " , Bizet'sCarmen ”, Hérold'sZampa ”, Mozart'sLe nozze di Figaro ” and SuppésDichter und Bauer ”.
