Reginald Hewetson

Sir Reginald Hackett Hewetson , GCB , DSO (* 4. August 1908 in Shortlands, Bromley , Kent , England ; † 19th January 1993 ) was a British officer of the British Army , who most recently as General 1,964 to 1,967 Adjutant General of the Army (aide -General to the Forces) .

Life

Officer training, World War II and the post-war period

Reginald Hackett Hewetson began officer training at the Royal Military Academy Woolwich after attending Repton School . After graduating in 1928, he found numerous uses in the Royal Artillery of the British Army and served in the British-Indian Army between 1929 and 1935 . Promotion to general

Lieutenant General (Lieutenant General) Reginald Hewetson dissolved in December 1961 as the Commanding General of the Armed Forces in Hong Kong (Commander British Forces in Hong Kong) from.
