Regine Klein
Regine Klein , married Regine von Heine-Geldern , ( April 23, 1857 in Vienna - February 10, 1939 there ) was an Austrian operetta and opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Klein only worked as an operetta singer from 1875 to 1876 at the Komische Oper Wien. In 1882 she switched from operetta to opera and made her debut on September 14th in Prague as " Carmen ". In 1883 she was engaged for the season from 1884 onwards on the occasion of a guest performance at the Vienna Court Opera House. On June 27, 1884, she said goodbye to Prague, also as "Carmen". On January 1, 1885, she joined the association of the court opera theater, but withdrew into private life on May 31, 1887, after she met Gustav Franz Xaver Freiherr von Heine-Geldern (1848–1899), a Son of Gustav Heine von Geldern and nephew Heinrich Heines .
