Rehband is a Swedish manufacturer of sports medical products, protectors and compression clothing based in Stockholm . Rehband is the supplier of the German national handball teams (DHB), numerous Bundesliga teams and supports numerous competitive athletes.

history

Rehband was founded in Stockholm in 1955 as "Institutet för Bråckskador", in German "Institute for fracture injuries". There were bandages designed for medical and sporting and manufactured. From 1970, business activities and the range of products on offer were expanded. The institute changed its name to Rehband Anatomiska AB . In 1999 the company was bought by Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH. It was fully integrated into the Otto Bock Group in 2002.

Companies

The Rehband company is divided into the Medical and Sport divisions, with only Rehband Sport products being sold internationally. Rehband's slogan is Enable your full potential .

APP Handels GmbH & Co KG in Hamburg has been the licensee for the German market since 2013. The managing director is Fridtjof Warncke.

social commitment

In connection with sport, the company shows social commitment by promoting the permanent campaigns of “Handball Hilft” for the German Cancer Aid . According to the organization, more than 30,000 euros were donated from leading handball clubs in 2008/2009.

Products

The product range of the sports sector comprises around 80 products that have been developed for active athletes. Most products are made from neoprene . Modern fabrics such as Lycra, Coolmax and MVent are also used. Rehband offers sports bandages, protectors, functional and compression clothing for the areas of shoulder, back, hand, elbow, thigh, knee, calf and ankle. The products are particularly well known in handball , volleyball and fitness . Rehband received special attention in 2014 through its cooperation with CrossFit athletes such as B. Camille Le-blanc Bazinet , Rich Froning, and Josh Bridges . Rehband has been the supplier of the DHB and thus of all German handball national teams since 2015 .
