Reichenstein is a district of the Lauterach community in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . The hamlet , which has belonged to the Lauterach community since 1812, is located about one and a half kilometers west of Lauterach.
history
Reichenstein is first mentioned in a document in 1276. Anselm von Reichenstein was probably the servant of the Counts of Berg- Wartstein . In 1364 the place was the seat of the Lords of Stein. In 1394 and 1420 Reichenstein is mentioned as a Württemberg fief . Via the von Schwangau and von Bocksbergs, the place came to the Zwiefalten monastery in 1499 .
