The house Reichenstraße 39 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the northern part of the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The building is entered in the Quedlinburg monument register as an arable citizen house . The building Reichenstrasse 38 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the north and Reichenstrasse 40 to the south .

Architecture and history

The core of the two-storey half - timbered house dates from the second half of the 16th century. The decorations on the façade, such as the dew-rod and cylinder -shaped beam heads with notches on the eaves and the threshold , also date from this period .

Conversions took place in the 18th century. The compartments were also provided with decorative brickwork.

In the 20th century, the Quedlinburg blacksmith Wolfskamp was based in the building for a time.
