Reimut Reiche (born June 20, 1941 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German sociologist , psychoanalyst and sex researcher .

Reiche was an activist of the Socialist German Student Union (SDS) and was elected chairman in 1966. He was involved in the Frankfurt group Revolutionärer Kampf , together with Joschka Fischer , Daniel Cohn-Bendit , Matthias Beltz and Johnny Klinke .

After studying sociology in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main , Reiche received his doctorate in 1973 (together with Martin Dannecker ) with the empirical-sociological study The Ordinary Homosexual ; thereafter he was a research assistant at the Institute for Sexology at the JW Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, which was headed by Volkmar Sigusch . In 1991 Reiche completed his habilitation on the subject of gender tension .

Reiche settled at the Sigmund Freud Institute in Frankfurt a. M. to train psychoanalysts (DPV) and has been working in private practice ever since. Since 1991 he has been a training analyst for the German Psychoanalytical Association (DPV).
