The Reinbach falls (also Reiner waterfalls ) are four waterfalls and a hydrological natural monument in the market town of Sand in Taufers in South Tyrol ( northern Italy ) in the Winkel-Kematen district.

description

At the exit is the first lower waterfall of the Reinbach . This is very narrow, has a wild gorge, its fall basin is 915 meters above sea level , and the fall height of the cascade is no more than 10 meters. The second waterfall is steeper, has a fall height of 20 meters and its wide fall basin is about 945 meters above sea level. The third is the tallest and most imposing waterfall of the four. The water falls over a vertical, orographically right wall of the gorge 42 meters deep. The outflow is at an altitude of 1045 meters. The fourth fall is slightly above and is very impulsive despite a small amount of water and a fall height of around 20 meters. It is the only vertical waterfall in the gorge. The upper waterfall has a wild three-tiered cascade that has a total height of 15 meters and a special collecting basin. The lowest fall basin is at an altitude of 1070 meters. In 1989 the waterfalls were declared a natural monument.
