The Reindeer Valley (English for reindeer valley ) is a valley on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located on the Barff Peninsula and connects the Godthul on the South Atlantic with the Sandebugten on the Cumberland East Bay .
The South Georgia Survey mapped the valley as part of its surveying campaign that ran from 1951 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the introduction of reindeer to South Georgia by Norwegian whalers in 1909.
