Reiner Fischer (* 1959 ) is a German chef and hotelier.

Career

Reiner Fischer completed his training in the Altdorfer Hof in Weingarten near Ravensburg. From 1976 to 1979 he spent his apprenticeship and hiking years at the Berghotel Jägerhof in Isny ​​im Allgäu and at the Holiday Inn in Stuttgart. From 1981 to 1986 Fischer was Sous Chef at the Hoyerbergschlössle restaurant in Lindau (one Michelin star ).

In 1986 Reiner Fischer opened the bistro Beaujolais on the island of Lindau . After two years, the Beaujolais was awarded a Michelin star. In 1991 he acquired an old carpenter's workshop in the Hoyer district of Lindau and converted it into a small hotel with 12 rooms and a restaurant with 25 seats. In 1992 his hotel and restaurant Villino was opened. From 1994, the cooking films Kleine Küche im Villino and Für alles ist ein Kraut grown by director Martin Lippl were made. In 1998 the Villino restaurant was awarded a Michelin star.

In 2017, Reiner Fischer handed over the management of the kitchen to his longtime sous-chef Toni Neumann. Since then, Fischer has dedicated himself to the hotel.

His Hotel Villino has been a member of the fine private hotels since 2017 .
