Reiner Kossmann (born May 1, 1927 in Neuhof near Ortelsburg ; † July 15, 2013 ) was a German ice hockey player .

Athletic career

Reiner Kossmann played as early as 1939 in the offspring of the lawn sports club Ortelsburg and in the provincial team of East Prussia ( Ostland ), with which he became German champion in 1942. From 1949 Reiner Kossmann played ice hockey again in Berlin . There he was active between 1949 and 1952 for various teams (so 1950/51 at BSG Empor Berlin ). In 1952 he moved to KTSV Preussen Krefeld , where he played until 1956.

Internationally he played in the national ice hockey team of the GDR and from 1952 for the national ice hockey team of the FRG , for which he participated in the 1955 ice hockey world championship . At the 1956 Winter Olympics , he was a member of the joint national team.

Other career

Reiner Kossmann worked for Deutsche Edelstahlwerke in Krefeld from 1952 and became managing director of the Chilean subsidiary from 1958 .
