Reinhard Buch
Reinhard Buch (* 1954 in Erfurt ) is a German sculptor.
Life
Reinhard Buch grew up in Warnemünde . From 1970 to 1973 he trained as a construction worker with a high school diploma. From 1975 to 1980 he studied at the Art Academy Berlin-Weißensee , then until 1981 at the Budapest University of Fine Arts. In 1981 Buch moved to Hirschburg, a district of Ribnitz-Damgarten . Here he built a studio. In the same year he became a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR , of which he remained until 1989, the year before the association was dissolved. From 1985 to 1987 Reinhard Buch took on teaching assignments at the technical college for applied arts in Heiligendamm . Since 1990 he has been a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Artists' Association. In 1992 he took on a teaching position at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art. Between 1993 and 1995 he went on study trips to Italy, France and Greece.
Reinhard Buch has been successfully participating in several competitions at the state and federal level since 1992. Since then he has been working with landscape architects from Schwerin and Rostock. In 1998 he was able to significantly enlarge his studio and organized several workshop days in Hirschburg. From 2002 to 2004 he took on teaching positions at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University in Greifswald . In 2004 he traveled to Chile and Argentina to study.
In addition to numerous solo exhibitions since 1991, he has participated in exhibitions in Blackburn, Budapest, Uppsala, Copenhagen, Vienna, Munich, Mannheim, Bonn and Dresden.
In May 2013 Reinhard Buch opened the producer gallery Black Box at the Kunsthof Hirschburg, in which he is represented permanently and together with other artists in constantly changing exhibitions.
