Reinhard Fallak

Reinhard Fallak (born April 1956 in East Westphalia ) is a retired German police officer and was Police Vice President in Hamburg from 2008 to 2016 .

Reinhard Fallak was with the Hamburg police from 1974 to 2016 . From 1974 to 1976 he completed his career section I training at the State Police School . He then worked for the riot police from 1976 to 1978, then for three years with the Altona and St. Pauli criminal police . From 1981 to 1984 he studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Hamburg , in 1984 he graduated with the academic degree of Diplomverwaltungswirt . From 1984 to 1991 he was with the Mobile Task Force (MEK). From 1991 to 1993 Fallak completed an apprenticeship at the Police Leadership Academy in Münster and completed it for the higher police service. From 1993 to 1996 he was Deputy Chief of the Mobile Task Force. From 1996 to 2004 he was press spokesman for the Hamburg police force. Fallak achieved greater notoriety in 2003 as the presenter of the RTL II television program Unexplained Murder . In 2004, Fallak moved to the interior authority as head of the presidential department and head of the press department. In 2008, Fallak succeeded Michael Daleki as Police Vice President in Hamburg. Fallak had been the highest-ranking police officer in Hamburg since July 2008. He retired in April 2016. He was succeeded by Wolfgang Brand .
