Reinhard Feinendegen

Reinhard Feinendegen (born June 2, 1932 in Krefeld ; † April 5, 2012 ) was a German homeland researcher .

Life

After graduating from high school in Krefeld at Moltkeplatz , he studied in Cologne , Freiburg and Bonn and passed the philological state examination in English and history. In 1961 he received his doctorate on the Lower Rhine nobility of modern times and his landed property. In 1962 he began teaching in his former school. From 1970 until his retirement he was head of the Horkesgath grammar school in Krefeld.

From 1976 to 2009 Feinendegen was chairman of the Verein für Heimatkunde (honorary chairman since 2009) and editor of the yearbook Die Heimat published by the association , which was named the best German magazine in the nationwide competition for homeland magazines in 1991.

In addition to his books, he wrote numerous articles on home and church history.

Since 1953 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Ascania Bonn.
