Reinhard Flatischler (born July 29, 1950 in Vienna ) is an Austrian musician, composer and the founder of TaKeTiNa rhythm education.

Life

Reinhard Flatischler completed his studies at the Vienna Music University before studying drums and percussion with masters on different continents for years. Flatischler became famous for the TaKeTiNa rhythm education he founded in 1970. Reinhard Flatischler is a member of the scientific advisory board of the Society for Music and Medicine, musical director of the "Rhythm and Pain Therapy" project with Gert Müller-Schwefe and publishes current research results on the effects of TaKeTiNa together with doctors and scientists. Flatischler is the founder of the band "MegaDrums" and composes for well-known contemporary musicians such as B. Airto Moreira , Zakir Hussain , Glen Velez , Milton Cardona , Wolfgang Puschnig or Leonard Eto (Kodo). His CDs are among the standard works of percussion music and, like his four books, have won international prizes. In the 1997 by Manfred Waffender documentary film heartbeat of the continents with the Karnataka College of Percussion and Ramesh Shotham and Mamady Keita he played himself.
