Reinhard Großalber (born April 7, 1986 ) is a former Austrian football goalkeeper and now coach .
Career
As a player
Großalber began his career at USC Seitenstetten . At Seitenstetten he also played in the combat team. With the club he rose in 2008 from the regional league to the fifth-class 2nd regional league .
For the 2009/10 season he moved to the fourth class SV Sierning . For Sierning he made his debut in the Upper Austrian League in August 2009 , when he was in the starting line-up against SV Bad Schallerbach on the first day of that season . In his three seasons at the club, Großalber played in all 78 games in the Upper Austrian League, and he also played two games in the ÖFB Cup against FC Lustenau 07 and TSV Hartberg .
For the 2012/13 season he moved to league competitor SK Vorwärts Steyr . With Steyr he rose to the regional league at the end of the season . He played his first game in the regional league in August 2013 when he played against SV Wallern on the first day of the 2013/14 season . In his first season in the third division, he was used in 28 games.
In the 2014/15 season he was used in all 30 games of Upper Austria. Also in the following two seasons Großalber was the goalkeeper of Steyr. In the 2017/18 season he was promoted to the second division with the club . In the promotion season he only missed one of the 30 games.
He made his debut in the second-highest division in July 2018 when he was in the starting line-up against SV Ried on matchday one of the 2018/19 season. After 214 league appearances for Steyr, he ended his active career in April 2020 at the age of 34.
As a trainer
After the end of his career, he became the goalkeeping coach of the second division FC Juniors OÖ in June 2020 , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2023.
