Reinhard Hofbauer (born August 18, 1907 ; † 1976 ) was a German architect who was best known in the field of Catholic sacred buildings.

Hofbauer first studied philosophy and art history, then architecture in Munich and Braunschweig. From 1932 to 1934 he worked as a freelance painter. After 1945 he had - at times in parallel - architectural offices in Wetzlar and Berlin.

He became known as an architect through the now lost parish church of St. Canisius in Berlin-Charlottenburg , which earned him nationwide attention. He also built idiosyncratic modern church buildings in the Limburg diocese .
