Reinhard Pfeiffer (artist)

Reinhard Pfeiffer (born October 4, 1954 in Saalfeld ) is a German artist , metal sculptor and author .

In 1964 Pfeiffer's family moved to East Berlin , where he did an apprenticeship and then earned a living in various professions. Among other things, he worked for the sculptor Achim Kühn , where he found access to artistic activities. Pfeiffer has been working as a freelance metal sculptor in Berlin since 1981 and has had several exhibitions in Germany and abroad. From 1991 to 1996 he organized “pirate art auctions” in the Berlin area.

Pfeiffer has also been a writer since 1989. After initially limiting himself to non-fiction , he has also published poetry since 1998 and detective novels since 2003 . He is particularly known for his encyclopedias on GDR comis and utopian GDR literature. In 2006 he published a non-fiction book about the Indian movement in the GDR.

Pfeiffer is married and has two children.
